A job and Acts:)

Tuesday afternoon August 18 I got a call from Gail Vick the principal at Blackman high school in Murfreesboro. It was so good to hear her say that she was offering me a job. I will be teaching 2 Algebra II classes and three Algebra I classes. I am looking forward to working with a large math department. The school has an enrollment of over 2000. Quite a change from what I've done in the past.

Thursday and Friday I spent the day learning about the school. Saturday David and my boys helped me move into my classroom and then we went to Sonic for lunch.

Tomorrow I will work on lesson plans and attend a 3 hr orientation meeting in the evening at the Rutherford County Board of Education. Tuesday my classes begin meeting.

It's about a 40 minute drive. I need to use that time wisely. This morning I put the book of Acts in Spanish on my iPod. At church today our pastor encouraged us to study the book of Acts and added that it would be great to listen to a dramatized version! Awesome - God gave me a preview of the message!
